End of Term

WOW we have had such a fantastic few weeks in school and I have had the privilege of being able to watch so many of our fabulous Christmas performances. The children in Nursery and Reception all performed brilliantly in their Nativity plays, Y3/Y4 sang wonderfully at Snappy Christmas yesterday and Y5/Y6 delivered an outstanding Carol Service last week. All of which were superbly supported by parents, grandparents, aunties and uncles so thank you so much for attending in what is always a hectic time of year for everyone.

Our choir have also been very busy performing in the local community. They really are a joy to listen to and receive lovely praise wherever they go.

Reception, Y1 and Y2 thoroughly enjoyed their visit to the pantomime with the rest of school enjoying Home Alone at the cinema.

Many thanks for your kind food donations for the Christmas parties this week. The children certainly had a fabulous feast and enjoyed some traditional party games. We still have lots of unopened food so we have decided to donate what is left to the local Food Bank in order to help those less fortunate than ourselves.

Throughout all of our performances, visits and parties the children have been impeccably behaved representing the school and its values remarkably. I am incredibly proud of each and every one of them and am constantly impressed by their confidence, talent and determination to succeed. They really are a credit to you and our school.

As you know tomorrow is our last day at school and is Christmas Jumper Day. Your child is welcome to come to school wearing a festive jumper but still needs to wear school trousers/skirt and shoes, with the exception of Reception children who can come wearing party trousers/skirt for their party in the afternoon. If you would like to send a donation for Save the Children then please do so.

Finally, can I take this opportunity to wish you and your family a very Happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year. Enjoy every moment of the festive season together and we look forward to welcoming you back to school on January 8th.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Fiske
