End of Term Update
WOW! What a fantastic few weeks we've had in school. I've had the pleasure to watch Y2 perform The Rainbow Fish and Y6 perform to their parents for the final time. Our Summer Fair was a huge success as were Nursery's and KS2 Sports Days. Many year groups have enjoyed a trip this term and we have had so much sporting success (Miss Earle will send news of this later this week).
Our EYFS, Y1 Phonics, KS1 and KS2 SAT results are all very pleasing indeed with the majority being much better than last year's, particularly the percentage of children exceeding expectations. All children have worked incredibly hard and made pleasing progress as a result.Thank you for your continued support with reinforcing learning at home, it really does make a difference.
A reminder that your child will spend the day with their new teacher on Monday and that we break up from school on Friday 19th July.
Can I take this opportunity to once again wish Miss Soderman the very best of luck as she leaves our school after 26 years of teaching here. She has made such a positive difference to so many children and contributed so fantastically to the wider life of the school community. I'm sure you will join with me in wishing her well as she starts a new and exciting chapter in her life.
Thank you for another fantastic year, I personally can't believe how quickly it has gone! I’d like to wish you and your family a relaxing, enjoyable summer holiday together and our Y6 children the very best of luck with their move to secondary school - keep smiling and working hard, you are all superstars who we are very proud of!
I look forward to welcoming you all back on Tuesday September 3rd.
