Parent Questionnaire Results
Many thanks to those of you who returned the parent questionnaire. We have collated the results which can be downloaded below. Overall the responses were very positive which we are very pleased with, however as I stated previously the reason for carrying out the survey was to obtain your views in order for us to improve. The main development points which we will be addressing are:
Homework - we have already reviewed our policy and implemented the changes. We hope the expectations for your child are clearer and that the amount given is fairer in order to allow plenty of family time.
Fundamental British Values - we will be writing shortly to inform you as to what your child is expected to know in relation to this part of the curriculum and will keep you informed via Twitter and newsletters as to what activities have been going on in school.
Governors - we intend to send a Governor newsletter each term as a way of keeping you informed as to how the Governors are supporting school improvement. There is also a section on the school's website dedicated to the Governing Body which may be of help to you. If you ever need to contact a Governor then you can do so via the school email address or in writing via the school office. Our Chair of Governors is David Welch who can be contacted directly through his email firstname.lastname@example.org
Performances - we have taken on board the comments that only Nursery, Reception, Y5 & Y6 do a nativity play at Christmas. This is purely down to time and limited space for practices to be carried out. We are however looking at putting on performances at other points of the year.
Behaviour - we are very proud of the children's behaviour both in and out of school and like to reward as often possible through the use of house points, stickers and certificates. We have spoken as a whole staff to ensure that this is consistently happening across the school so that all children are rewarded fairly. Our Behaviour Policy is available to read on the school website.
If there is anything you would like to discuss further then please do not hesitate to speak to your child's teacher or myself.
