Following recent media coverage of a particularly unsuitable post on Tik Tok please look at the online safety information attached. Tik Tok is a social media sharing app, which lets users create, share, and view videos. Just a reminder that even though Tik Tok has been designed with the young user in mind the app is not recommended for children under the age of 13. The attachment highlights some of the dangers associated with this app and outlines a number of safety tips for parents, including the use of privacy settings and restricted mode, which filters out content that is not age appropriate. Please note these settings are not always 100% fool proof. For those of you who are familiar with the Tik Tok app and its safety settings, please take note of the ‘Family Safety Mode’, which allows parents to monitor their child more closely when using this app. More information and help can be found via the link below:
