Welcome Back 2019
Welcome back to another new and exciting school year. We are all really pleased to be back and are looking forward to the year ahead. Can I take this opportunity to welcome all of our Reception children to full time school, they appear to have all settled in really well with hardly any tears! Welcome also to the children and staff who have joined us from other schools.
Miss Soderman has asked me to thank those of you who were generous enough to buy her cards and gifts as she left our school last term, she is extremely grateful for all of the kind thoughts and best wishes she received.
All of the children look really smart in their new uniforms so thank you once again for supporting our uniform policy. It makes a real difference. Please remember to write your child's name into all items of clothing, even jumpers with initials on, as it helps us return lost items promptly. Can I please ask that if headbands are worn they are plain. A reminder also that large hair bows are not part of our uniform.
A gentle reminder that earrings are not allowed to be worn in school so need to be removed before the start of the day please.
A variety of clubs have already been arranged after school across this half term. Details have already been sent via ParentMail to relevant year groups. I have attached an overview for your information. A reminder that all children will be dismissed from after school clubs through the doors by the mosaic on the playground.
Please can all meals be paid for at the beginning of each week, ParentMail will deduct the full week’s cost on a Monday, any absence will be refunded accordingly. The cost of a meal remains at £2.15 a day. If your child wants to change from a school meal to a packed lunch or vice-versa then please let Mrs Blackburn in the office know.
Please can I remind you that children are not allowed to bring mobile phones to school.
A reminder of the days school will be closed to pupils due to PD days this year:
20th December, 24th February, 22nd May & 20th July
If you ever wish to discuss anything with me then please remember my door is always open.
