Welcome

Welcome to Wheatlands Primary School. We hope to work in partnership with you and your children to ensure that every child is happy, successful and has high expectations of themselves. We look forward to meeting you and also extend a warm welcome should you wish to assist in school by working alongside your own and/or other children in a supportive role. We aim to provide an education of the highest standard for all children.

Wheatlands School staff are involved in many initiatives that are designed to promote high standards of achievement, excellent teaching, motivated learners, effective use of ICT to enhance learning, high standards of behaviour and respect for others, regular attendance at school, healthy lifestyles, extended provision for children beyond the normal school day and much more.

We regularly consult parents and children to evaluate what we are doing and to inform our planning for school improvement. The voice of the children is represented by the School Council and the Eco Team, whilst parents may also become Governors or join our thriving Friends group.

Wheatlands is a Community Primary School for children aged 3 to 11 years on the southern outskirts of the seaside town of Redcar. It was built in 1993 and provides modern facilities with a 39 place nursery and an intake of up to 60 pupils in each year group.

We welcome visitors and look forward to working with you.
