We encourage our parents and children to walk to school. This is a healthy option and cuts down on the amount of traffic congestion outside our school. If a car is used we ask that you park with consideration for other road users and residents and not in the lay-by at the front of school.
The school gates at Wheatlands open at 8:30am. Key Stage 2 children can make their way to their classrooms from 8:35am. Reception and Key Stage 1 children will be met by their teacher at 8:40am
The official start time for children in Reception – Year 6 is 8:45am
For safety reasons parents are requested to ensure that children do not arrive alone before 8.30am.
Nursery sessions are 8:30 – 11:30 & 12:15 – 3:15
Late arrivals should report to the main school office. Prompt arrival at school is important and we urge you to make sure that your child is on time each day.
The school day ends at 3:15pm for all pupils.
Breaktime Refreshments
Wheatlands promotes healthy eating. Sweets are not allowed at break but children can bring fruit or raw vegetables as a snack. Children in Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are provided with fruit as part of the Government’s fruit scheme.
