The school community values the tireless work of the Friends of Wheatlands Parent Committee. We also recognise the enormous benefits the work of the Friends brings to enrich the school curriculum. Fundraising and social events are always well attended. The Friends arrange discos and other events across the year to help raise money for the school. Funds have recently paid for the new wooden shelter in Nursery.
Membership is open to anyone interested in the school and meetings are held on a regular basis. In addition to the officials of the group, a list of willing helpers is maintained whose services are called upon to help at the various functions.
